from getting an Internship to Software Engineer 2 at walmart

So, it’s a month of june when I got a offer from Infosys as a digital system specialist by a program called Infytq . Super duper excited for it. After-all its my first interview and will definitely will be my first job. Until, I got a chance to give codehers of walmart.

There was one mcq round followed by one coding round and 2 tech rounds

Details of coding round and tech round:

So , there was 2 coding questions, which we have to solve in 45 mins

1st one was based on linked list and 2nd one was based on logic.

Tech rounds

There was one DSA round In which

1st question was from string, we have to make sure palindrome string from the sentence and then shuffle the string

2nd question is related to sort the array of 0 and 1 and then array of 0,1 and 2

3rd related to BST… First check weather BST or not. .. Then find a key

After that some questions on CS fundamentals i.e OS, dbms, cn, oops, Linux commands and Projects that i did.

One puzzle related to coins ( divide the coins in min possible way)

2nd round was Managerial+HR

In second round some general questions related to Why walmart and how you will tackle different situations were asked.

Intern Experience :

During my internship, I was a part of team called Unified payment systems. Where I had learn so many new things. Majorly I had worked on React and spring boot. There was one major project which will be going to live next year and I was a part of it.

Converting Intern to full time :

In walmart Intern to ppo conversion process mainly includes performance during internship followed by 1–2 tech rounds depending on your performance and requirements.

I had 2 tech rounds

Both were taken by the people of same team.

The questions were based on basics of java, react, cs fundamentals and 1–2 DSA based questions

Overall the journey was quite exciting with fun and lots of learning

Process of getting into walmart for girls

Through CodeHers :

Level 1 — MCQ Challenge to test your computer fundamentals with 25 objective questions that need to be solved in a stipulated time period.

Level 2 — Coding Challenge where shortlisted participants will get 90 minutes to present logical coding solutions to 2 problem statements.

Level 3 — Candidates who have attempted both rounds (Quiz and Coding Challenge) and have non-zero scores in both of them will be considered for the shortlist for the next round. All top coders who are shortlisted will be informed regarding our planned interview process.

Top coders will be shortlisted and interviewed virtually for full-time software development engineering roles at Walmart Global Tech India. The roles offered will be based out of Bangalore or Chennai offices.
